Walking and Wildlife
Maps and books with local walks are provided. There is an abundance of wildlife with foxes and badger's sets just above the Byre; watching fox cubs on an early summer morning can be a special treat, while in the evening owls and bats can frequently be seen. The range and amount of birdlife is fascinating ; families of bluetits, great tits, coal tits, long tailed tits, greenfinches, woodpeckers, goldfinches, robins, thrushes, blackbirds and wrens mean birdsong is frequently heard in the garden. While the surrounding fields and skies, play host to buzzards, curlews, ravens and plovers. |
